NATIONAL HEAT TREAT - Management Biography
Mr. Michael Pendley has almost four decades of experience in manufacturing operations including management of heat treating facilities and metallurgical labs.
Michael has a BSE degree in materials science from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and a MSc degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Tennessee.
He has held senior positions with several of Houston's major oilfield equipment manufacturers and engineering firms.
Michael has extensive experience in the heat treating of both ferrous and non-ferrous alloys including quench-and-temper hardening, age hardening of stainless steels and nickel alloys, annealing, nitriding, carburizing, induction hardening, and other operations.
In addition to heat treating, Michael has expertise in failure analysis, welding, corrosion, and material selection.
Michael is a past chairman of the Houston Chapter of ASM International and is also a member of NACE and AWS.
Mr. Michael Walters has extensive experience in quality management including senior positions with major oil and gas service and manufacturing companies.
Michael has a BS degree in engineering technology from Texas A&M.
He holds various quality control certifications including IRCA QMS Lead Auditor, ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, and ASQ Certified Quality Technician.
His areas of expertise include QMS auditing, supplier qualification, and project management. Michael is a member of the American Society for Quality and is active in the Houston chapter.
