Open Fire Solution Annealing

Solution treatment or solution annealing is used in preparation for aging. This process, used with certain stainless steels and nickel alloys, involves heating the material to a temperature high enough to dissolve any precipitates. After the microstructure is homogenous, the material is cooled rapidly to prevent re-precipitation.

NATIONAL HEAT TREAT has two(2) car-bottom furnaces capable of open fire processing.
