Atmosphere Solution Annealing

Solution annealing is used for both ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. In solution annealing, the part is heated to a temperature high enough to dissolve any precipitates and create a homogeneous single-phase microstructure. The part is then rapidly cooled to prevent any precipitation. Solution annealing is required prior to aging.

NATIONAL HEAT TREAT can perform atmosphere solution annealing in any of our five(5) atmosphere furnaces.
