OPEN FIRE HEAT TREATING is done in a furnace with an oxidizing atmosphere. Open Fire treatment can lead to the formation of oxide scales on part surfaces and is not suitable for finish-machined parts. NATIONAL HEAT TREAT has two(2) large car-bottom furnaces with working zones of 96" W x 130" L x 50" H and 72" W x 204" L x 29" H that can accommodate loads up to 10,000 lbs and temperatures up to 1800℉.
