Open Fire Aging

Aging is a hardening process used for precipitation-hardening alloys. Solutes that are dissolved during solution treatment precipitate out, creating a strengthening effect. If aging is continued for sufficient time, the part can become overaged with a loss in strength and hardness.

NATIONAL HEAT TREAT has two(2) car-bottom furnaces capable of open fire processing.
