Annealing is used to enhance ductility and reduce residual stresses. The
temperatures required for annealing can damage the surface of finish-machined parts.
However, when conducted in a vacuum furnace, parts come out with a "bright" finish
with minimal oxidation or discoloration.
NATIONAL HEAT TREAT has two (2) vacuum furnaces capable of vacuum annealing.
